This game has been dead for a while now, but recently I've noticed there has been a few people who do play regularly with a small group of friends. If any older players are thinking of returning, or if any new players are thinking of joining, NOW is the time :)

If we can get a regular community of even 10-20 people, this once amazing game can become incredibly fun again. We just have to organize times where a group of people can all play, and enjoy the games while we're all online!

Why hello! And welcome to our dead community

I'm not too sure who you are. However, AOG has not been dead more then a few months. About 80% of people who were left were low grade jerks with no lifes that did nothing but kill the community, before leaving themselves.

I don't normally bash people. But in this case, I am. Thanks to people like Coooled Mystic and solace. Who single handedly killed this community of whatever few people were left that did play. They arn't the only ones, just a few of the main ones left though. They are all too stupid to understand that the only way to keep a community alive is to be kind and inviting. Instead these jokers worked over time running everyone off, both new and old alike.

This is why the game is dead. Because of them. And I sooo hope they get an IP ban someday for the crimes they've done that were ignored thanks to Jagex's neglect of this wonderful game.

Pulvorizer hit the nail on the head, I quit 2 years ago for this exact reason but I'm more than excited to play again if we can get some people. The only thing we would need is a good community

Oh PULVORISER, I didn't know about that. I quit the game a long time ago so I never knew of these trolls that ruined the game. That's terrible, and I hope they never play it again. But now that its been quite some time, I think we can really get this community started again! Log on whenever you can and stay for a bit to see if anyone else is online. We can start chatrooms or use the forums to arrange times where we can all play, and I think AoG can really get started again WITHOUT the trolls this time :)

I remember you, Whrithin. Also my name is spelled Pulvoriser as a name, not a word. That's why it's spelled with a S and not a Z. However at one time I was named Pulvorizer for a short time.

I love your passion to bring this community back. I love your idea and will join in. This community just died like 2 months ago or less. But yeah it's been kind of bad for the last two years. Only got worse. As for the chatroom thing, if you look at that thread called "unoffical aog chatroom" that's one of the things that helped kill the game even more. That troll used that chatroom as a way to get everyone who were left on there to meet up for games, then would make up slanders about them and have his friends call it out in the lobbie and run them away. I even left since there was nothing left here for me, after being here since day 1. It's just not worth playing if the only ones that are on are creeps. But I think your idea could help bring back the older community if we try hard enough. We will also need to help them work out the java issue that has made a few people leave.

Copy paste. It's a funorb fansite, but up until about a month or so ago we were hosting AOG events. We only stopped due to inactivity.

Thanks :) I think it will just take a group of about 10 people who like the game and can play regularly to have a nice community again, and I think we can manage to get this from old players + some new players.

At the moment I'd say there's actually a decent amount of players who are still interested in playing aog, but are dissuaded because everyone logs on at different times. They log on and see no one, so they log off, and this happens to everyone. #1 priority I think is to get a chatroom, forum, or something that all active members can use to arrange times for games.

By the way, when do you usually log on? I've been idling online as long as I can for the last few days to gauge the playerbase, but I don't think I've seen you.

My site has a shoutbox, it's not as good as a chatroom but it's almost. I can add a chatroom to it though, in the aog section. However if I did it would have filters since I'm against hard language or trolling.

Unless you have a chatroom.

I'm on C.D.T timezone. I log on around 10pm to 2am. I was lobby sitting all last week but never saw anyone, I've also been lagging badly the last few months, I think it's this stupid slow internet/laptop combo.

I'll be on tonight, I'll also set a chatroom up later as well and post link when I do if you don't already have one set. I have a coder on my site that can get us a nice one. I have one already in a staff chat, so it will be easy to just move one like it to the aog section of the site :D But it will have filters, alot of people will disapprove of that, but if they don't like it then they can make there own and be as adult as they want, I sure won't be there though

That should work, if not I can always create an online chatroom or I.R.C channel.

I'm on EST, 1 hour ahead of you. I'm normally on sporadically between 4:30pm to midnight, give or take. How about today at 11pm (10pm your time) we play a few games? I'll see if anyone else is interested.

Also, great game tonight. First time I've had people to play with in 4 weeks. I just wish I didn't have to leave after only one game

Awesome, I'll check out the chatroom later today :)

Yea it really was fun, if only whrithin replied and came we couldve had a great 2v2. Either way it was fun playing after so long, how about another few games today? Im free for the rest of the day, so whenever we're both on is good.
